Barry Hart as ABE BAZZAN
The following images are a selection of Barry performing as ABE, his alter ego, a larger than life character that roamed the streets playing his barrel organ music and delighting crowds with his favourite songs accompanied by his Banjo and Kazoo.
Below is a some audio capturing his most commonly played songs while performing. It also includes ‘The whaling song’ which Barry wrote himself. It details his time on a whaling ship in Norway and realised he couldn’t be part of it anymore. The quality isn’t amazing but this was captured on a hand held audio recorder onto an old style cassette tape.
The following article was published in POST magazine detailing the life and travels of ABE BAZZAN and family
